At what age can you start feeding your dog raw food?

You can start feeding raw at 4 weeks old when puppies are being weaned. There are a few brands that offer weaning paste for puppies age 4 weeks and over.

How much food do I feed my adult dog?

Adult dogs need 2-3% of there ideal bodyweight daily. Every dog will be slightly different as their metabolism and exercise levels will vary.

How much food do I feed my puppy?

Puppies need a higher amount of food than adults as they are growing so much. Please get in touch with us at info@theheartofraw.co.uk with your dogs age and current weight and we can calculate this for you.

How long can the raw food last in the fridge?

Once defrosted raw food can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days.

How do I start my dog on raw food?

We deliver using APC courier service for large and frozen food orders, smaller parcels and non-perishable goods will be sent via royal mail.

ORDERS OF FROZEN ITEMS MUST NOT BE BELOW 8KG AS THE FOOD IS AT RISK OF DEFROSTING IN TRANSIT.

We deliver to all of England & Wales. Courier rates are as follows…

Up to 19.5kg = £9.05

Up to 29.5kg = £12

Up to 49.5kg =£17.50

Up to 69.5kg = £22.50

Up to 99.5kg = £31

DL & TS POSTCODES – Up to 19.5kg = £4.50

 

We also deliver to the lowlands of Scotland. Courier rates are as follows…

Up to 14.5kg =£10

Up to 24.5kg = £13

Up to 44.5kg = £19

Up to 64kg = £25

Up to 94.5kg = 34

 

Orders are dispatched on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

 

If your order has been places by 11am on a dispatch day we will do our best to get it out the same day. Sometimes this may not be possible and it will roll onto the next dispatch day.

Small parcels up to 1.8kg - £3.20

Medium parcel size up to 1.8kg - £5.30

 

 

Click & Collect

 

  1. Place your order online
  2. Your order will be received by us and we will start getting this ready for you (within shop opening hours)
  3. You will receive an email to say your order is ready to collect (usually the same day if your order is placed before midday)
  4. Collection must be made within 48 hours of receiving your ready for collection email.
  5. Please do not try and collect your order before receiving your ready to collect email

 

Returns policy

 

If you have any problems or an item is unsatisfactory please get in touch with us. If you are able to send us a photograph of the items that are unsatisfactory then this usually saves you having to return the items to us for inspection. The postage cost of returning the items to us is your responsibility, if the items are found to be faulty then you will be refunded including your postage costs. If the items aren’t faulty, they can be returned to you but it is your responsibility to pay the postage costs.
